How to use the Snap to Objects feature

When you draw objects with corners that touch other objects, the Snap to Objects feature helps make sure the corner touches the object exactly.

For example, with this feature turned on, if you click close to the edge of an ellipse when drawing a rectangle, that corner of the rectangle will snap to the ellipse, as if the edge of the ellipse were magnetic. How close to the edge of the ellipse do you have to click? That is determined by the Aperture Size setting.

To turn on this feature, select Object Snap command from the object menu.

Snap to Objects can often be used as an alternative to Snap to Grid.
